Open Mind - Empty Stomach - Bare Feet
Open Mind - Be willing and present in your practice. Yoga is a process in which you enjoy the journey rather than strive to achieve a particular goal.
Empty Stomach - Allow 3-4 hours after a large meal and 1-2 hours after a smaller meal before practicing. Don't drink anything 1 hour before class.
Bare Feet - You need the traction so as not to slip in the standing poses. Also this allows your feet to breathe and to be exercised more fully.
Wear non-restrictive cloths - Wear shorts, leggings, sweat pants, tanks, tee shirts, sweat shirts or exercise clothing. Jeans, slacks and cotton shirts are difficult to move in.
Do not use colognes, scented hair or skin products. We do a lot of deep breathing and many people are sensitive to scented products.
